he stands along the beach,
staring far off the distance.
staring at the setting sun,
he slowly drifts into the water.
he wanders without a thought,
just slowly wandering, aimlessly forward
he looks down, looking down below him,
he sees the waves brush against his feet,
all he feels is his hope slowly washing away.
he strides silently forward,
forward into the cold sea,
forgetting all reason,
all he feels is emptiness.
he treads further on,
turning his back on his past,
ignoring all advice,
he seeks to live a new life.
the walls of this world are slowly caving in. people i know are starting to turn around and leave. people i thought were friends are becoming merely a shade in the distance, a figure in the horizon. this world that i used to know as vibrant has crumbled, succumbing to the depths of the darkness. this world is no more than darkness.

he covers his eyes
as his friends go hide
he counts to hundred
in slow monotny
his friends all run
in every direction
hiding away
in ever corner
as he completes
the counts of hundred
he seeks out the hidden
yet none he finds
where has everyone all gone.
